About
Greetings! I'm Angie Parris-Raney (LMT, Chopra Certified), and I began my journey in 2000 with a decision to leave a Fortune 500 international logistics company and take a leap of faith into a practice of massage and wellness. At that time, I was experiencing the debilitating effects of stress and I made it my mission to take back my own power and work with the body's natural ability to heal itself. That led me on a journey into creating this practice and I still continue to expand my knowledge. Over the years, I've combined my part-time private practice with a full-time career at Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP), where we support the work of more than 80,000 professional massage therapy members.
It has always been my vision and philosophy to educate and empower clients, friends, and family with an affordable, attainable, and comprehensive approach to self-care. Happiness and a life well-lived are your birthright. My mission is to teach you the body's inner healing wisdom so that you may be empowered to live your most vibrant and happy life. Let's face it. We have a broken healthcare system. But our bodies and minds have tremendous potential to heal itself. We were born whole. And because of the nature of our culture and society, we may have forgotten that along the way. I invite you on this journey with me and return to the memory of wholeness. It's always been there within you and me.

Volunteerism
In 2008, my practice expanded into the co-creation of a small non-profit, Project Inti, where we provide aid and education to under served children and families in Peru. We have provided massage to children with disabilities, taught hygiene and disease prevention, planted trees in communities, and shared Leave No Trace principles in addition to many other projects.
I also lead meditation to single low-income parents at the Warren Village, and have provided infant massage instruction to local Colorado families as well as adoptive families at Chinese Children Adoption International (CCAI). My passion for the great outdoors inspired me to become a trip leader with the Colorado Mountain Club (CMC) where I've led numerous local and international volunteer treks throughout Colorado and Peru.

My Teachers
My curiosity and wonder for different cultures and wisdom traditions have led me to study meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda with the Chopra Center, Thai massage in Thailand, shamanism in Peru, and yoga in India (virtually during the pandemic). These experiences have shaped the work and passion I bring to my clients and it has truly been a blessing to be a part of one's healing journey. I thank all the teachers who have influenced me, including Mark Manton, Deepak Chopra and the faculty and staff of the Chopra Center, Peru Shamans, Dr Vasant Lad, and so many massage therapy educators.
